Period while skipping placebo week

Hey Al- I’m 2 weeks post placebo week (meaning I skipped the last week of pills and it’s been 2 weeks since)….. and I just randomly started my period.

There are multiple issues for skipping it but mostly I’m on vacation. My OBGYN told me skipping would make me not have my period.

I assume this is normal though so I guess I’m just complaining but also wanting any insight on if it should be a normal period or lighter than normal etc?

For context it’s a hormonal BC so that’s fun
