9a is at the top of the normal temperature range at all times

Just started using a new 9a two days ago, and I don't use any video-based apps (no Instagram, TikTok, etc) and mostly read an RSS feed reader or use Telegram or IRC - all text-based.

The phone is sitting at 32-34°C (90-93°F) at all times, whether it's in use or just sitting on the desk for an hour. This is at the very top of the 'normal' range in the temperature check tool in Settings, and it doesn't seem to be affected by 5G, LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.

Does anyone know if this is characteristic of a faulty device that should be exchanged, or if this is normal for all 9a phones? I have switched to the Pixel from an extremely cheap Unihertz Jelly Star which was cool to the touch during use for most of the last two years, and only felt warm at all in the past month or two while the battery in it started to have issues.
