the right one for a Paladin lover from Diablo 2R

Guys Ive been enjoying Diablo 2R, playing as a Paladin. Im thinking of starting Diablo 4. I dont have the expansion and am just wondering which class I should go for. Is Barbarian the closest one to Paladin? I had tried Necromancer before in D4 and I didnt like how Im always so far from the enemy and summons felt like multiplayer. Im a single player kinda guy.
