Anyone here who has been treated with psychiatric meds?

TLDR; I recently got put on some psychiatric meds, antipsychotics and antidepressants. Anyone with experience with that kind of thing?

basically, my dad got diagnosed with late stage cancer and I got taken to therapy. (But that's a story for another day.) I have always been a vivid and lucid dreamer. I also experience sleep paralysis often. But the last few months, it was like I have been dropping to different timelines when I sleep. To explain, when I go to sleep, my dreams are basically me living another life. Some nights, I would see multiple lives. I don't know if they are versions of life, parallel universes, matrices or just dreams and nightmares, but they were super vivid and realistic. My sister thought I should talk to someone, not about the nightmares but coz of my dad. I told my psychiatrist that one of the issues was I was not sleeping well because of waking nightmares. He put me on the meds and promised restful sleep. My sleep became better for sure. I thought it would stop the vivid dreams, but I feel they just became more clear. Unfortunately, the clarity isn't always good especially when entities attack me in the dreams. like there is this worm-like entity, like a snake with a big head that keep appearing. A few nights ago, something temporarily took over my body while I was praying in a dream and started to invoke the powers of evil and darkness using my body. Something else lightly punched my cheek and got rid of whatever was holding me hostage. Anyway, I wanted to ask if anyone has been prescribed psychiatric drugs and how they affected them.
