Is it justified when one is beyond help?

NSFWCulture & Society

This question has been of particular interest to me.

If people who are "beyond help" or simply "Don't want to help themselves" because they have completely given up on trying, we are always told not to waste time on them, but are those said helpless people justified in taking their own lives at the end of the day? I am not talking about those who dramatically "try" to get attention and fail then regret it later or those that have a medicaal illness or condition, but those who have literally "nothing to lose".

Given example : No family, friends or loved ones, someone who has no faith in religion, the future or themselves for that matter. A person who is deeply entrenched for decades in a "self fufilling prophecy" that nothing awaits them in the future but an "slow, agonizing death in solitude with no company other than themselves".

If we aren't obligated to help those who don't wish to help themselves then aren't those people justified in terminating their own lives if they wish to do so?
