Mindhunter vs True Detective - Which one should I watch first ???

So I want to watch something thrilling, filled with suspense.... Have heard a lot about these 2. Can you suggest which one should I watch first? Or even if there is a 3rd option, feel free to suggest it...

Also along with it I want to start a sitcom for long term, like I watch different movie/series during the complete sitcom as it's generally too long. I have watched Friends,HIMYM,Modern family. Confused b/w The big bang theory, Brooklyn 99,young sheldon, malcom in the middle. So suggest something among these or if there is anything better. From sitcom I want fun to watch kinda thing, maybe romcom genre as I like it.
