I recently made these Apple Rose Tartlets, and they turned out far better than I expected. They look like something you’d find in a bakery display, but the process is simple and requires only a few ingredients. If you’re looking for a dessert that is quick, elegant, and beginner-friendly, this one is worth trying.

Below is the full breakdown, and the complete recipe is here:

# Ingredients

* 3–4 apples
* Powdered sugar
* Cinnamon
* Puff pastry
* 1 egg
* Fresh raspberries (optional)
* Mint leaves (optional)

# Steps

**1. Prepare the apples**
Slice the apples thinly, place them on a baking tray, and bake at 180°C for 5–7 minutes until slightly softened.

**2. Cut the puff pastry**
Roll out the puff pastry and cut heart shapes using a cutter. Re-roll any excess dough and cut more hearts as needed.

**3. Form the pastry baskets**
Place three pastry hearts into each muffin cup, overlapping them to create a small basket shape.

**4. Make the apple roses**
Arrange several soft apple slices in a row, sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon, then roll them to form a rose. Place each rose into a pastry basket.

**5. Bake**
Brush with egg wash and bake at 190°C for about 20 minutes, until golden and crisp.

**6. Finish and serve**
Dust with powdered sugar and add raspberries or mint if desired.
