Struggling with the Christmas tree.

I care for my Granddaddy. He has dementia. He’s hallucinating at night and it’s usually in the form of like a “gas looking people” sitting in the recliner across from him. Every location it’s a different person. Well every year we have put up the tree and decorations. I’m not doing it this year. It’s not out of spite I swear. I just don’t want him seeing or worrying about another “person”. And unfortunately, this “person” would be about 8 foot tall and in the corner of his living room…. Not gonna happen.. well other family members are quite displeased in me for not decorating. So when I said, “feel free to come help me take care your family member. Maybe then you’ll finally get my side”.. Im the bad guy. He already don’t know who I am most nights. Why add more confusion by putting a tall try in is living room?
