Russia top supplier of nuclear fuel to USA

According to Putin in bbc.com:

In his interview with India Today, Putin commented on the US tariffs on India for buying Russian oil, and said that India should have the same opportunities available as the US.

"The United States itself still buys nuclear fuel from us for its own nuclear power plants. If the US has the right to buy our fuel, why shouldn't India have the same privilege?," he asked.

Russia remained the US' top supplier of nuclear reactor fuel last year, Bloomberg reported in September - citing data from the Department of Energy. A ban on enriched uranium imports from the country was enshrined into law in May.

According to fool49:

US hypocrites keep importing Russian nuclear fuel, while telling and punishing other countries for importing Russian fossil fuels. US's victims should put high tariffs on US for importing Russian fuel. Tit for tat tariffs will decrease trade and bring an end to this era of globalisation.

Countries can use the national and economic security excuse to become more self reliant. It is high time, tha countries like India and China, and regions like Europe, decouple from USA, and develop their own industries, especially in computing, and biotech.

The era of US hegemony is ending, with a multipolar world. The multilateral institutions like WTO and World Bank are loosing power. Without the US, or more inclusive or South focused institutions are gaining power, like the BRICS and SCO.
