Why are the actors in the industry so spineless?

:K4_1::K4_2::K4_3::K4_4::K4_5:

I have removed Asif's video. Upon listening to opinions from different perspectives, my own "research" and reading the English translation of his interview, I am retracting my slack on him for the time being**. Although I am still sceptical of his stance, if he is, in fact, genuinely in support of the survivor, then I would hate to be a part of any hate going his way. The hate he does not deserve.**
So buddy's intention was "for the survivor to get justice, but not for anyone to be punished"?! Make that make sense. Disgusting to see such assholes. Hats off to Lal for genuinely expressing his feelings. Renji Panicker can go to hell. Asif Ali can go with too, and this list will continue. I am not bothered by their perspective on Dileep exactly, but when anyone goes along the lines of "the court gave its verdict, what's more to say", then they are trash, because the survivor is appealing the verdict, it's a slap to her face.

The comments section is quite interesting, some of them not even worth responding to, but I will do my best. This is my comment again, I am pasting here for the new soldiers that will comment defending all these actors, so this is my universal "irrukku avade":

Just to emphasise this, so this doesn't go down the rabbit hole, and as a reminder to all of us, in the next few days:
We should be past that stage as a society where colleagues (or even fellow citizens) of survivors and rap!$ts remain neutral?! Like that's crazy, we are in the era of social media, and all these actors and celebrities know it. They portray all these "hero", "I am fighting the bad guy by myself", "lawyer against injustice", "police against injustice" roles, and they've gained a cult following only because of that. People in the country WORSHIP them for who they portray in movies, not for who they are in real life. They use their platforms to convey many messages to their followers, whether it's a new film, India winning a cricket match, or their gym day cheat day. So they can convey this one, too. This is one of the biggest issues that has not only affected the A.M.M.A setup, but has also been the beginning of uncomfortable conversations in our own homes. We want to know where they stand. I need to know.

You can only pick one side; being neutral is non-existent in today's time, it is unacceptable, and you always lean towards a side. Whatever side you lean on, just let us know. We as a society must stop interpreting silence as "neutral" in a case like this. There's no space for that rubbish anymore; we've evolved, or should evolve beyond that. Martin Luther King Jr. ("There comes a time when silence is betrayal") and Roxane Gay ("Silence gives consent").

If men don't start holding each other accountable, then change will come at a slower pace. Why are the actresses the only ones saying more than the "what more do you want him to say"? Men are more powerful in the industry, so why is it that the women in the industry are able to be clearer in their stance "against the court" than Renji, Asif, etc? HOLD THEM AT A HIGHER STANDARD!!! HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE!! You don't have to, but I will.

Watch Lal's interview. They both basically said nothing hectic, really, but they both insinuated something. What Lal said is genuine; what Asif said was just what, even? He should have just spoken about his friend and walked. What Renji Panicker said is disgusting. I just want to know if they're #avalkoppam or not. I don't think that's asking for a lot.
