Anyone here actually understand MGO levels? Trying to buy Manuka honey and getting lost lol
So I’m trying to buy Manuka honey for the first time and the MGO numbers are confusing as hell. Some jars say 100, some say 600+, 850, 1000… and every brand acts like their number is the “right” one.
People who actually use this stuff daily...what MGO do you go for?
From what I can gather so far:
- The really low MGO jars feel kinda generic
- 600-ish seems like what a lot of “one spoon a day” people use
- 850/1000 is the thick, caramel-y stuff but also $$$
- All the labels feel inconsistent between brands
If you’ve tried different brands like Comvita, Manuka Health, NZ Honey Co, Manukora, Wedderspoon, whatever…
what MGO level do YOU keep going back to?
Does the jump from 600 → 850 → 1000 actually matter?
