A new girl joined my hobby group. How do I ask her out?

There is a hobby that I've been attending to for the past 2 months. A new girl just joined with us last week. She is kinda my type. I know nothing about her yet.

I'm 25M with 0 experience. My top priority is not to inconvenience her and most importantly not to look like a creep. I don't want to just ask her out since she is probably still adjusting and it'll probably shock her to be just joining a new hobby and to be asked out just like that.

Should I befriend her first? talk to her and then ask her out in the same conversation? Should I just go for it next week or build something across several weeks where I talk to her multiple times then drop the question eventually? I only see her once a week.

How would you go about this situaiton? in great detail if you may since I'm inexperienced.
