**Yamasaki Rinko** is a 23 year old Grade 2 sorcerer from the Yamasaki family, a line known for body modification cursed techniques. Her grade 1 grandfather could replace limbs and organs with reinforced cursed tools, turning himself into a living weapon, but Rinko inherited only the detachment aspect of the lineage. She cannot enhance or alter her body. She can only remove pieces and put them back, and this gap has shaped her sense of worth.

Outwardly she acts stubborn, blunt, with dyed hair and a punk aesthetic, yet most of that is a mask. Underneath it she carries a constant fear that her technique is incomplete, that she contributes less than other sorcerers, and that she lacks the power expected from her family name. Even so, she pushes herself into danger for the sake of her team, relying on sharp awareness and a strong survival instinct to compensate for her doubts.

Her cursed technique, **Body Partition**, allows her to detach and reattach major limbs and organs while keeping them alive and functional through CE. Each part she separates subtracts from her total usable CE, so she rarely fragments herself more than necessary. Because she lacks fine CE control, she can only remove large, distinct anatomical units like arms, legs, lungs, heart, liver, stomach, and, at the smallest scale, an eye or a single finger. Anything requiring precision, like veins or nerves, is impossible for her.

Detached parts remain fully connected in function: an eye still sees, a heart continues beating, and a detached bone still supports attached muscles. Yet each part is also subject to physical forces. A dropped liver still hurts, a separated arm cannot pull someone midair unless it anchors itself on something solid, and any injury must be healed as real bodily damage. There is no range limit, and she always knows where each piece is, but if a part is destroyed or unable to be retrieved, she loses it forever.

Because her technique leans toward survival and support rather than offense, Rinko often serves as the backbone of her squad. She uses detached arms to pull teammates out of danger, places an eye to watch blind spots, or hides vital organs back home to survive possible fatal damage in combat. She sees all of this as “not enough,” a sign that she isn’t a true frontline fighter like her grandfather was. The reality, though, is that she has a reputation for reliable support, and is a valued member of any team.
