Emily Trefusis (The Sittaford Mystery)

DISCUSSION

I just read The Sittaford Mystery and I was wondering how others feel about the character of Emily Trefusis.

In the book I love how she uses the "women are weak and helpless" mindset of the time to her own advantage and to get people to do what she wants.

In reality I would probably consider her a manipulative b*** and her view of her fiance as "someone to mould and lead" as a major red flag in any relationship (swap the genders and it's obvious).

What do you think?
