Commerce/Law Course
Hi all! I hope you're all feeling okay for this Thursday, and I hope you all go well! I have a few questions regarding courses that maybe we can all discuss and help each other out with. :-)
After being set on law as my dream job but then enjoying economics a lot as one of my subjects, I have decided to pursue Commerce and Law as my ideal university course. After reading up online, I have found the two most ideal universities for me are Melbourne University (Bachelor of Commerce, then Juris Doctor) and RMIT University (Bachelor of Commerce and Law).
I wish it was as simple as picking the better school, but there are pros and cons to both. Both have great locations in the city, with Melbourne having the prestige and resources of a GO8, but I have read online that RMIT has a more industry-focused approach that allows people to get into the workforce quicker and better, as well as not requiring a selection process when compared to the Juris Doctor. That being said, being a barrister is (allegedly) one of those jobs where the name of your school does matter, and so Melbourne has that advantage.
Is anyone else going through the same dilemma as me? Is there perhaps a preference that one of you have that may be able to put my worries to bed?
Thanks in advance! :D
