Why are so many people playing those “slash&free” games on TikTok

Free talk

Lately I keep seeing people spend time on those “slash&free” things on TikTok. You have to send links and ask friends to tap them, so it is not even that easy, but people still do it. I feel like a big reason is just how expensive everything is right now. Rent, loans, tuition, groceries, it all adds up and there is not much left for extras. So if you can pay a little less for something you already wanted, even just a few dollars, it starts to feel worth the effort.

Do you see the same thing around you? Do people you know mess with these price slashing or “free item” games, and do you think it is just a short trend or something that will stick around as a normal way to shop online?
