The "Back" button behavior on the Android app is driving me crazy. Anyone else?

Is it just me, or does the navigation on the Android app make zero sense?

Specifically when messaging. If I’m in a conversation with a guest and I hit the physical "back" button on my phone, I expect it to take me back to the general Messages page.

Instead, it just cycles me back through the last conversation I was looking at. I end up having to mash the back button 5 times just to get back to my list of messages.

I'm honestly puzzled that they chose this design. Does this bother anyone else?
