ItsDirector's Roadmap: December 9, 2025

The path we're on may change, but the road continues ahead!

Still, we should recall the path behind us (previous roadmap).

Personal Stuff:

Some of my fans with a keen eye have noticed that I haven't been online as much as I was before my last roadmap post. Thankfully, it's for an awesome reason! My wife and I are having a baby! We're very excited for this new addition to our family :D

We're currently keeping our baby registry private (irl family and friends only) because we've both had bad experiences with stalkers, but if you'd like to offer monetary support you can leave a one-time donation on Ko-Fi. Or, if you want to get early access to chapters, you can subscribe on either Ko-Fi or Patreon.

Videos/Livestreams:

I've begun experimenting with various video formats in the hopes of bringing "ItsDirector's Cut" to life. Haven't quite cracked the issue of audio, though. Workin' on it lol

Art:

People have shown an interest in making artwork, but we still don't have a dedicated place to post it other than discord. So... Feel free to create artwork and post it wherever.

With the baby on the way, I've kind of given up hopes of hiring a dedicated artist for official art.

Future Work:

I've hit a block with the Ascuam Chronicles. To keep my creative juices flowing and hopefully overcome this block, I've begun working on another project in my spare time.

It's sci-fi/thriller, and I will be releasing it publicly. I've finished the first chapter and begun the second chapter, but have yet to complete the storyboard (I'm mostly writing it for fun lol). As such, it'll be a while before it sees the light of day.

I've done some storyboarding for The New Universe prequel as well.

Live Appearances:

So, I've done the research and live appearances cost money (without even accounting for travel costs) and are typically set up with the help of an agent and/or manager. So it's going to be a while before I can do that lol

Progress and Goals:

Some numbers have gone down, but most have gone up lol

According to the  W4ffle bot, it has been 3 years, 1 months and 5 days since I posted the first chapter of The New Species. I have posted 636,135 words since then, with an average of 2,446.67 words per chapter.

On Reddit, each chapter receives an average of 43.64 comments, my reddit profile has 3,211 followers, and I've got 31,705 post karma and 21,935 comment karma according to my profile.

On Royal Road, I have 1,982 unique followers and my highest ranking so far is #931 (did that go down or up?!). Average rating is 4.63.

On Patreon I have 560 followers, 138 of which are paid.

On Ko-Fi I have 63 followers, 60 of which are supporters.

Shattered my word-goal for 2025 back in October, but was overly optimistic with the rough draft goal lol. I think 750k by the end of 2026 is more than doable.
