Best 100W-140W USB chargers - questions for the experts
Firstly, the amount of detailed info that is available on the charging sheet and on this sub is crazy so a huge thank you to all the authors. This is the only resource I've found online where USB chargers are so thoroughly compared. But there is so much info here that I am having issues deciding what is the best product for my specific case.
I am looking to buy some new USB-C chargers for my phone and laptop. I am interested to know what the consensus is on this sub - what are the best 100-140W chargers that are currently available on Amazon and Aliexpress?
I need a compact charger that can deliver 100W power constantly for at least an hour without melting, but is also compact and light as I travel with my laptop a lot and the bag has minimal room for a charger. So weight and seize is definitely a concern. I think the thinner but higher/wider design will fit easier into my bag than the newer compact square design.
Price is another major, if not the primary, concern. I'm looking to get the best value for money. I don't want to buy Chinese crap that will burn the house down but I also think brands like Anker and Belkin are overpriced. So decent but not extravagantly priced.
I don't need more than 2 USB-C ports. One USB-A port would be nice for my desk fan. No cables needed. Phone is a Samsung and laptop supports 100W charging so don't technically need more than 100W, but if buying a bigger charger will help maintaining charging speeds then I don't mind going bigger.
I'm based in South Africa so am paying about double total what the item costs when import duties and shipping is added. It still works out the same or cheaper than buying locally though, and the product choice is very limited locally. I can buy from most big EU Amazon websites (including the German, French and Spanish ones) and also Aliexpress.
I am liking the Novoo and Voltme brands so far. Are there any other decent budget brands available? Ugreen was always good value for money but I see they have become a tad expensive lately.
