Some times you have to work with what you got. I got rid of a Vizio dumb TV, one of those TVs that just won't quit! Picked up a 43" smart TV on a black Friday sale, needed to hang it in this area, DID NOT want to drill into the foundation wall! For the new TV a all-wood hanger with a I shaped angle (wood) bracket. On the top of existing wall, a 2x plate, added another 2x nailer-board to clear the wall insulation. First attempt; installed it vertical, bad reflections, now angled at 15degrees.

Added a shelf for a yard-sale find sound bar, although lacking bass. I pealed open the sub-box that it came with and salvaged the BT amp. Which I put it on another sub, nice improvement!

That's not in the photo and changed course one more time, had an extra AVR; just finished the 3 wood speakers (the center is still unfinished). The old boxes were MDF, really wanted to use Baltic Birch.

The sound bar was ok, hard to beat wood boxes made with robust plywood, damping material and wider positions. The 3 speakers have engineered crossovers.

Need to add a sub, have a few around here, ha more than a few. There's a 6 cubic foot, dual 10" in the garage, that will shake the windows! Wifey will be happy that I moved that!

The HDMI's ARC features are modest, only On/Off and PCM Digital auto. Last time I used it had looped back to a TV port so I could see the AVR's onscreen menu. Maybe it's me, but the older AVR are complicated -- 300 page manuals! Probably needed a AV installer back then, maybe I need one now. lol

Radial Arm saw, don't use that anymore!
