My boyfriend [37m] stopped trying with me [30f]

I’ve been with my boyfriend since I was 25, everything was great for the first two years or so but now it seems like I’m just a burden. He doesn’t seem like he wants to do anything with me even when I suggest going out, but the minute his friends want to do something he’s out and about the whole night. Every time I try to take a step back and try and talk or get some clarity by being distant he comes full frontal love bombing, it feels like nothing gets addressed. We’re now on the outs in this in between space where nothing is fully ending and nothing is fully rebuilding either. It’s confusing, and it leaves me wondering what he actually wants with me. At one point he’s crying to me telling me how much he loves me but another day he’s giving me one word answers through text. I know as I’m typing this it sounds so stupid but why does he put me through all of this if he doesn’t actually love me.
