Pick up point when someone returns an item - confused!

I’m waiting for a return (I had to accept it although the buyer lied about the item) and the buyer chose SEUR. The issue is that the pick-up point they gave me is really far from my home, about a 40-minute drive and it’s not one of the usual nearby spots I choose for deliveries.

Why would Vinted assign such a distant location for a return? For returns, does the buyer choose the drop-off point, or does SEUR/Vinted pick it automatically? I've never returned anything myself.

Also, what happens if I don't collect? Does the buyer get refunded and I lose my item?
