Civivi Elementum 2 disappointment - dud or just not for me?

Hey, I need a reality check: I am quite disappointed with the Civivi Elementum 2 Button Lock knife and I am wondering if I am having a dud or if the knife/brand is just not for me. A pocket knife for me is 80% fidget toy and 20% tool - just to contextualize the rest of the post.

I am new in the knife hobby so please bear with me. The Elementum 2 was my first flipper and button lock knife (I bought it to see if I like those features). At the beginning I had big issues with the button being sticky. After fidgeting around a couple days that stick went away almost completely, but it does not feel as smooth as I would like it to be - but maybe that's normal for a button lock knife - I don't have a reference.

But what I have a reference for now is another flipper: The Honey badger (small). The flipper of the honey badger is so super satisfying: the smoothness and how it clicks in place. In comparison to that, my Elementum now feels less then meh - even cheap (I am aware that those knifes are still very much budget knifes, but the Elementum being twice the price of the Honey Badger makes me really wonder).

Since the Elementum seems to be highly regarded in the community I am at this point really wondering if I just got a dud? Or do I expect too much of this knife?
