Symptoms getting worse in mid 20s?
I just wanted some validation on if it's common for your symptoms to get worse ~25 years old.
I'm 26 and have always had issues with (non-painful) subluxations and all the fun stuff, but it never affected me a ton. A little over a year ago though, I started getting the joint pain, painful subluxations, GI symptoms, etc. I've gone to multiple doctors, physical therapists, and done a wide array of tests, and the consensus is that it's all caused by hEDS.
I did have covid back when I was around 22 and I know that can exacerbate things, so that may have contributed to the timing of everything falling apart lol
Overall, I'm just wondering if it's normal to hit a hard point where suddenly everything stops being party tricks and starts being actual problems. 😅
