Market Research before moving into a new market

I'm an artist who creates clothes & various accessories with my art on, and I want to start moving more seriously into handbags.

I've already done one bag which I'm very happy with, but I'd love to know the relative sales data of different bag types aka crossbody/satchel/sports bag/over shoulder etc.

I know what my current audience wants, but I'm aiming to hit a wider market and know from experience the two are not necessarily the same thing!

Can anybody recommend any resources that I can purchase this info from?
