Shoulders?

Should the shape of shoulders be covered? For example, with a jumper, I should wear a khimar to cover my shoulders? So, can I wear a coat which shows the shape of my shoulders without a khimar? Also, if I wear a coat should my headscarf cover my chest on the outside of the coat or should I put it inside, If the coat is open?
