Confused. Is my EEG normal?

Question

EEG DESCRIPTION: Background rhythm in the quiet, awake state consisted of a posterior dominant rhythm of 10 Hz. The rhythm was symmetrical and attenuated as a normal response to eye opening. During hyperventilation slowing was seen. Vertex sharp waves and sleep spindles are present indicating stage 2 sleep. Photic stimulation elicited a symmetric photic driving response.

Subliminal seizures were identified.

EKG: Unremarkable

EEG IMPRESSION: Mildly abnormal EEG recording secondary to presence of mild generalized slowing. This finding is nonspecific, but may suggest the presence of tach or metabolic abnormalities.
