Parking for the Patriots vs Bills game at Gillette? some advice

figured i'd share some parking advice for the pats-bills game since i've been to gillette a million times and know it can be a nightmare if you don't plan ahead. honestly getting in and out of there is the most stressful part of the day.

i've started using this app called Prked, it lets you rent a local resident's driveway or garage right next to Gillette Stadium. it's usually way cheaper than the paid lots and the best part is skipping the insane traffic getting into the main lots. you just walk a few minutes to the stadium. after the game you can walk back to your car and get out using local roads instead of being stuck on route 1 for hours.

if you're going the traditional route, most of the official stadium lots are actually free for patriots games which is cool. but you have to know what you're getting into. access is only from route 1, so don't trust your gps if it tries to take you on back roads, they'll be closed. the lots open at 9am for the 1pm kickoff, and you need to get there early. if you don't, you will be sitting in a sea of cars just waiting to park.

the biggest issue is leaving. it can honestly take two or even three hours just to get out of the parking lot after the game. it's a real test of patience. if you're not in a huge rush, they have a delayed exit lot that's a pretty good deal. you agree to wait 75 minutes after the game ends to leave, and they give you a $50 visa gift card for it. you can just tailgate for a bit longer while the worst of the traffic clears out.

a couple other things, the free lots can be a pretty long walk from the stadium entrance so be ready for that. also if you're heading north after the game, try to park on the stadium side of route 1, its a little easier to get out. there are also people who just sell parking spots on their lawns along route 1, which is another option similar to the app i mentioned. you can sometimes get out a little quicker from those too.

anyway, it's gonna be a huge game. hope this helps someone out and go pats
