Thinking of buying STW, any thoughts? Or suggestions!

Hello all, I have been thinking about buying STW mainly because I love the making our own base and surviving waves of enemies that sort of stuff.

I have a few doubts like, if i play STW then would the exp also count towards the Fortnite BP?
and does it get repitative?

Also any suggestion or beginner tips are welcomed!
Thank you for your time.
