Desperately need advise from overachievers and seniors in this sub.

This was my first CAT attempt and i really fucked it up. I really do not know how this happened. **I legit scored 99.2 in SIMCAT 20 and 99.8 in SIMCAT 7. Most of my scores in the IMS mocks were in the range of 95-99+.** I took SIMCATs since that is what everyone advised me in the sub here. I am also in the IMS Club 100 TG group.

**The 3 biggest mistakes i made:**

* I had Slot 3 and i watched a shit ton of Slot 1 and 2 reviews which overwhelmed me and made me feel underprepared.
* I took advise from this sub and only took SIMCATs because I was advised to take 2 mocks by my coaching mentor for variety.
* I took my broken confidence from DILR to Quants which snowballed my Quants as well.

I was an i quantsa student since Feb 2025, from what i heard in this sub, iCATs' LRDI & Quants were a notch above CAT level and listening to this advise i solely relied on SIMCATs. Now i think, with the difficulty level of the CAT 2025 paper, i made a wrong decision. This will cost me another year of prep now.

**Now, i am not looking for people or things to blame for my fuck up but i honestly wonder how it would've been if i had not listened to random people.**

Now, while i have had a bad experience going with the herd mentality in this sub, For once please be genuine and let me know what i can do differently for CAT 2026. I will be giving XAT as well but since i desperately want FMS, i am thinking of re-appearing for CAT 2026.
