Why isn't my Castorice getting newbud points from healing (im using gallagher)

Im sort of new to maining castorice since i only got to actually build her properly now, but i noticed while in combat that whenever any ally in the team gains HP, Castorice doesnt get newbud points, while she still gets it when the team takes damage. I've tried almost everything and i am not able to utilize her ability to the fullest if this problem persists so i really need some help
