Finger nails aching?

Whenever my nails get long (~ 0.5 -1 mm beyond the tip of my finger) they ache and make my fingers feel sensitive, lots of people say they think I'm autistic so idk if that's just a me problem or if other ppl have this issue, do you just ignore it, are men spiritually forbidden from growing longer nails?
