What unique things does your cat or dog (or any pet) do?

Tell me about your pets! I'll start. I'm sorry this is long but they're so funny lol the Tl;Dr is that Panther makes you pass a sniff test to pet him and let baby kittens suck on his nipples, Cuddles looks like he has socks on, and then Lilith/Lileeeth is filled with unique characteristics but the best one is that she plays fetch and catch like a dog (I recommend at least reading about her and her other unique things 😂)

So- I currently have three cats and they're all unique in their own way. My oldest cat, (Black) Panther, is super skittish, there's nothing really traumatizing that's happened to him, but he acts like he's traumatized by humans/sounds/everything. One thing that he does is that before he lets anyone pet him, even if he's asking to be pet, the person has to pass what I've labeled the "Sniff Test." If you don't let him sniff your hand and try petting him, he runs. If he sniffs your hand and doesn't like how you smell, he runs. If he sniffs your hand and accepts your smell, you can pet him. And it's so inconsistent like he's affected me when I had my hands clean or dirty but also has denied me with my hands clean and dirty. I would understand if it was someone new but he does it to me (I've had him almost six years now just about, since he was a baby) and my bf (who he's known since he was six months old). This same cat, who's a boy, took on the mother role for a pair of kittens I had from 2021-2022/2023ish, they were strays. We possibly separated them from their mom a little too early accidentally so they started sucking on his nipples like a week after we took them in, and he let them! It was so disturbing but kinda sweet at the same time because of how skittish he is like to see him let these two strange babies get attached to him lol But he was like their protector too and always made sure they ate first when we gave them food.

My second to oldest cat by just a couple days, (Señor) Cuddles, I have to say his most unique thing is that he has socks lol not literal, but the way his coat is, he looks like he's wearing little socks on his feet. His body is mostly grey, but he has white under his chin and then on his all of his feet, the back feet it goes partially up his legs (the white is the "socks")

Now my current youngest, Lileeeth (or Lilith depending on the day/how mischievous she is, she's a year old now) is my little special one. She likes bubbles. The gravity water bowl we had up until recently made bubbles when the water went into the bowl, and she would sit watching the bubbles until they stopped.... Then she would smack the bowl to make water spill out so bubbles would happen again. She becomes best friends with everything (laser pointer, two specific purple mouse toys, a toy bank, a toy money symbol, bugs, lizards, every person that steps in my apartment, everything). Anytime she sees a bug or lizard, she doesn't try to kill it. She plays with it, and when she hears me or my bf coming, she puts it in her mouth (doesn't bite it or and she tries not to swallow it), moves away from us, plops it out of her mouth, moves it when we get near her and so on until we realize she has a friend and we make her drop it and kill it (which freaks her out and makes her so fucking sad😭😅), or she accidentally swallows it trying to keep it from us so we don't kill it. She will open her mouth like she's expecting to see her friend and when it doesn't come out of her mouth, she keeps opening her mouth and looking around trying to find where it went (and then again gets so fucking sad when she realizes it's gone). She's afraid of going outside like completely but fearless with everything inside even water or loud noises (unless we're yelling at her for something). She does this weird like call of some sort or like some weird sound when we point the laser pointer at the wall and her tail just starts vibrating basically it doesn't like wag or go back and forth or whatever it literally vibrates aggressively lol and she loves to come sit on my lap when I'm in the bathroom to the point she'll nap in my arms for however long I let her 😂 She just discovered our bathroom mirror and will jump up on our sink and look in the mirror and scream at us when she sees us in the mirror, and will go back and forth between the mirror us and the real us and freaks out but is so cute about it. But the best thing is that she plays fetch and catch 💖 she doesn't just wanna bat the mouse toy around by herself or anything. She brings her favorite toy and meows until I toss it for her to catch or to go fetch depending on what mood she's in. She would do it for hours if we let her, she doesn't get tired or it. But it has to be one of the purple mouse we have (not any other color), the toy bank, or the toy money symbol or else she doesn't give a fuck about it unless one of my boys are playing with a toy then she wants to get it away from them lol
