Help us verify that Jellyfin can be successfully added and played in the player
Hi everyone, I’m currently helping test a third-party media player app (VidHub).
Now, we’re looking for Jellyfin users to help us test whether it’s possible to successfully add Jellyfin to the player and play videos.
If you’re using Jellyfin and have some time to help us test, I’d really appreciate it – I can share a redeem code as a thank-you.
What we’d like you to help us do:
• Install VidHub from the Apple App Store
• Or download and install it directly from: https://okaapps.com/product/1659622164 (Android users, please download the latest version from the official website)
• Add your Jellyfin server inside the app
• Check if Jellyfin can be successfully added to the player (whether the Jellyfin server loads properly on the “Media Servers” page and if you can enter its libraries)
• Go into any library (Movies / TV Shows), open any title, and confirm if it can play successfully
• While it’s playing, drag the progress bar a little and see if there are any freezes, timeline issues, or problems resuming playback
If you notice any abnormalities during use (for example: slow loading, lag, incorrect timestamps, missing buttons, failure to play, crashes, etc.), please feel free to DM me or join our Discord to share feedback:

Devices we support for testing:
• iPhone / iPad
• Android phones / Android tablets
• Android TV / Google TV / various Android TV boxes
• Mac (both Apple Silicon and Intel)
• Apple TV 4K, etc.
If you’re willing to help test, it would be great if you could leave a quick comment with:
- Your device model + OS version
- Jellyfin usage scenario (local network / remote access / reverse proxy / Cloudflare, etc.)
This is not meant as a promotional post – we simply want to gather more real-world cases so we can polish and stabilize the Jellyfin integration before a wider release. Huge thanks to everyone who’s willing to help.
For anyone wondering what VidHub is:
VidHub is a media player designed for people who have their own self-hosted movie or TV libraries. It runs across the entire Apple ecosystem (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV) as well as Android phones, Android tablets, and Android TV devices. Whether your videos are stored locally, in iCloud, via WebDAV/Samba, or on Emby/Jellyfin/Plex servers, VidHub’s goal is to provide a simple, cinema-like experience across all of your devices.
Key features include:
• Automatically fetching artwork and building a clean, poster-style movie wall
• Support for almost all common video formats, including HDR and Dolby Vision (Dolby Atmos tracks are currently supported only on Android TV)
• Support for multi-language subtitles, with online subtitle search and download
• Built-in file management tools, such as batch rename and batch delete
• Direct-connect mode for Emby / Jellyfin / Plex, offering very fast access and low latency
• Trakt integration to sync and track your watch progress across devices
Thanks again to everyone who’s willing to spend time testing. Every piece of feedback you provide will directly help us confirm whether the Jellyfin integration is truly fixed and continue to refine this player.
