Redeployment - Not adequately considered for internal opportunities

AUS

Hi all - am currently approaching the end of my redeployment period in a big corp here in Aus and have been applying for roles that I feel are a good fit/are transferable skillset wise over the past 3 weeks.

Despite constant reminders to the HR folk managing these roles that I’m on redeployment and have up to X date before I’m forced to off board the company, I have not heard back on an outcome at all. HR have said that they’ve chased the hiring managers up etc to see if I’d be a good fit but this has dragged on for 2-3 weeks now and I’m literally a short few days away from finishing up without hearing anything back.

Ask: Is there any legal recourse available to me if I don’t hear anything back at all from these internal applications through to the point of off boarding?

The issue I have here is that I’m not been given a fair go and I genuinely feel that with my experience, I should at least have my application properly reviewed and delivered a justified outcome... rather than flat out being ignored at this rate. I’m also aware that if I were to be shortlisted for any role, I can have my redeployment period extended by 2 weeks to allow for a fair process per company policy.

Thanks in advance!
