Do women genuinely compliment other woman?

I get called pretty by women a lot, and those compliments genuinely helped my self-esteem. For a while, I actually started to feel good about how I look.

But recently I made this reddit post about getting called girls by women but not getting approached guys which I deleted later.

Some comments really stung me and made me question the credibility of compliments and my self esteem plunged again.

People said things like:

women’s compliments are fake.

women hype each other for no reason.

they only say nice things to make another woman feel better.

if I were actually attractive, men would have already shown interest.

I’m not looking for validation I just want to understand what’s real.

Do women actually mean it when they compliment another woman, or is it usually just kindness or habit?
