Broncos vs Packers parking at Empower Field? Here's the real deal

Figured i'd share some parking advice for the Broncos-Packers game on december 14th since it's always a mess. trying to find a spot on game day can be a nightmare if you don't have a plan.

honestly, the best thing i've found is this app called Prked. you can rent someones private driveway or garage right next to empower field. it's way cheaper than the official lots and you book it ahead of time so you know you have a guaranteed spot. the best part is you can find a spot on a side street and completely skip the insane traffic getting into and out of the main lots. it's a super short walk to the stadium from most of them.

if you're set on the official stadium lots, you need to know that almost all of them are sold out in advance for permit holders. they have a *very* limited number of spots they sell on game day. Lot C is the main tailgating spot and opens 6 hours before kickoff, spaces are like $55 and they sell out within an hour of opening. Lot A has a carpool section for cars with 4 or more people for $45, but tailgating isn't allowed there. For all other lots, they open 4.5 hours before the game and if you don't have a pass, you'll be fighting for one of the few spots that sell out ridiculously fast. i wouldn't risk it.

your other options are the private lots and garages around the stadium. you can find spots near the denver aquarium or over by elitch gardens, usually a 15-20 minute walk. prices can be all over the place, sometimes as low as $5 but closer spots can get up to $60. using an app like spothero can help you book one of these in advance too.

a lot of people just use public transport. the RTD light rail has a stop right at empower field and it's probably the easiest way to avoid driving and parking stress altogether. there's also usually a broncos shuttle that runs from confluence park for about $7, which is a good deal, but you should check their site to make sure it's running for this specific game.

no matter what you do, get there early. i mean like, 3-4 hours before kickoff at least. the traffic around I-25 and colfax is no joke on game day. leaving the stadium is just as bad, so either hang out for a while after the game or be prepared to sit in your car.

hope this helps. should be a great game, go broncos
