Found a dirt-cheap alternative to Replicate for ComfyUI workflows ($0.001/img + supports concurrency)
Hey guys,
I know we always complain about how annoying it is to deploy ComfyUI to production—self-hosting a cluster is a pain to manage, and Replicate/BFL gets super expensive if you actually have users.
I stumbled upon this new platform called CrowdComputed recently. They seem to use decentralized idle GPUs (4090s/5090s) which explains the pricing.
Why I think it's worth a look:
- The price is insane: It's around ~$0.001 per Flux image (1024x1024). That’s like 1/12th of the official API cost.
- It actually handles concurrency: Unlike renting a single RunPod instance where you have to manage queues, their API seems to auto-scale.
- Models: They have SDXL, Wan2.2, Flux (dev/fill/kontext), and Z image ready to call.
I also noticed they support custom workflows (you have to contact them to upload JSONs, but they handle the deployment).
They are giving away 1700 credits (~170 images) for sign-ups right now, so you can basically test it for free.
Here’s the link if anyone wants to try it: https://crowdcomputed.com/workflow-api
Has anyone else tried them yet? The generation speed seems pretty solid for decentralized nodes.
