Diversity in selection of medicine student in Italian unis

I'm 18 f, And as me and my are applying for medicine in Italy along scholarship as Asian. In case we both apply in same uni, can we both be selected to same uni cuz we both live in same city in asia. Does regional causes any problem even if we both are within uni Merit cutoff?
