I have a guitar and I want to learn how to play

I have this guitar, and my parents were going to sell it at one point because I couldn’t practice or learn due to academic constraints and a lack of time. Now that I finally have the time and the interest, I want to this up as a hobby

As tempted as I am to learn a song right away, I think I should get my basics right first but YouTube is confusing. So, as a complete beginner, what should I know and practice before levelling up? And realistically, how difficult is it to learn to play the guitar?
