Trying to contact my neglectful parents TMtF 31

Yesterday was my birthday. It's been 11 years since I came out to my parents as trans. 11 years since they refused to accept me for who I am and 11 years since they kicked me out of the house.

I'm doing so well without them. I have my friends who are a better family than my parents. I have a job I enjoy and I live in an apartment on my own thanks to a wonderful landlord.

But I still miss my parents every so often. I have fond memories as a child but now they want me to be a complete stranger to them.

And yet, even so, every day on my birthday I visit the old house and knock on the door to see if they'll finally answer.

Well yesterday, I learnt they moved house in the year and didn't leave a forwarding address. I have no phone number to contact them and no other family to help find them.

It hurts that they're really gone now but I don't need them. My friends are my family and I had a wonderful birthday yesterday.

Ps. I want to thank everyone who messaged me happy birthday yesterday. You're all so wonderful. Thank you 💗
