Is Vizianagaram considered less than other districts?

Growing up in Vizianagaram, Vizag, I was always surrounded by Uttarandra people and never felt any discrimation.

But once I moved outside like Hyderabad etc, I noticed a bit of weird look from people when they realised when I am from Vizianagram and some of my friends from srikakulam.

Did anyone else noticed the same thing or is it just me overthinking stuff?
