New to Dubai. Salary account

Hello All,

I’ve recently moved to Dubai and trying to understand the banking/credit card system here. My salary is around 40k and will be paid via WPS. However, as my company (its a UAE branch of a large international company) is not “registered” as a known employer with any of the banks, my understanding is that I can only get a credit card against a deposit. Is this correct? Will it be different once I have a few months salaries deposited to my account or will the banks still require a deposit?
