Cowboys vs Vikings parking at AT&T Stadium - a few tips
hey everyone, with the vikings game coming up i figured i'd share some parking advice for at&t stadium since it can be a total nightmare if you dont plan ahead. getting in and out of there is its own event lol.
honestly the best thing ive found is an app called prked. you can rent a private driveway or garage from a homeowner right next to at&t stadium. it's usually way cheaper than the official lots and you're just a short walk away. the best part is you skip a lot of the insane traffic chaos right around the stadium entrance and exits since you're coming and going from a side street.
if you want to go the official route, you should 100% buy your parking pass online ahead of time. they sell out. the stadium has a bunch of lots, like 15 of them, and prices are all over the place, from maybe $50 to over $150 depending how close you get. the lots usually open about 5 hours before the game. if you're planning to tailgate, you need to get there super early because the designated tailgating spots are first-come, first-served and they fill up fast.
there's also a ton of unofficial cash lots around the stadium, like local businesses or people's yards. you can find cheaper spots, maybe in the $40-$60 range, especially if you're willing to walk a bit. just be careful and make sure they're legit. some of these can actually be great for a quick getaway after the game.
a couple other things - leaving the stadium is the worst part. seriously, it can take forever. a good strategy is to just hang out for like 30 minutes after the game ends to let the first wave of traffic clear out. also, using an app like Waze is a good call because it will reroute you around the worst of the post-game gridlock. trying to get out via Collins Street is almost always a mistake, it gets backed up badly.
if you're thinking of using a rideshare app, their main pickup and dropoff spot is in Lot 15. it can be a bit of a walk but it saves you the parking headache. some local bars and restaurants in arlington also have shuttles that will take you to and from the game which is a pretty cool option too.
hope this helps a bit. it's gonna be an awesome game, go cowboys
