Why is eczema so itchy? In particular, why is it itchier than other similar skin conditions (like psoriasis)

I dont mean what specific triggers, i mean like deep down, what makes eczema different than other skin conditions to the point where it in particular is so incredibly itchy? It's obviously not just the inflammation or dryness
