Engeneering focus

Hello guys, I just reached Rear Admiral and bought Federal Corvette. It’s also my first real combat ship, until now I was strictly doing trading. I put together a basic build that cost me around 600 million including the ship, and I still have about 700 million to spare. Since I’m not familiar with engineering yet, could you recommend which engineers I should focus on first? My long-term goal is to make my Corvette a true BiS combat build.

Also, I put together a build using beam lasers and multicannons is that an okay setup to start with?
