sizing question

would a carhartt large loose fit hoodie fit a 6’3 190lbs man? i ordered one for my boyfriend for christmas thinking it’d be the right size but it looks huge, but i fit much smaller hoodies than a man which could be why it looks so big to me. do you think it would fit?
