[TOMT] 2020’s singer/songwriter from Brooklyn who feels very ‘80s

Trying to find this dude. I’ve got every attribute to describe him aside from the name so I can’t find his music again! I stumbled upon his (at the time) most recent album like a year ago and it slapped. What I remember is he was in his early-mid 20s, released a record under his own name that felt like a chorus-drenched homage to Cutting Crew and 80’s Springsteen while having enough 2014 Mac Demarco DNA to also feel somewhat contemporary. If I remember correctly, he was also a childhood jazz prodigy. Pls let me know if this rings any bells! Thank you in advance!
