Decorating in early game

Hiya DDVers!

I just restarted the game on a second account, my ADHD brain needs the novelty from time to time 😂. And now that I have a clean slate I want to learn how to decorate a bit more. Because I'm still early game I don't have many items though. Anyone have advice on how to start with few items, but with foliage, pathing, fencing etc. I play on Switch so can't decorate too crazy anyway if I want the game to be playable 🙃

I'd kill for screenshots, or tutorials, I'm a visual learner haha
