How do you say no when your kid keeps asking for the phone/iPad?

Curious how other parents handle this. My kid asks for the iPad constantly, he was allowed to play mini-games before. I’m trying not to turn it into a negotiation or a meltdown.

Facing frequent requests, how do you manage without losing you temper and starting an argument? Do you have a go-to line, a routine, or some trick that actually works?
